Is Hoodia XPF Plus A Good Hoodia Supplement?
Is Hoodia XPF Plus by Nutra Core a good product if you add exercise? Does drinking plenty of water help also? -Adrienne
Adrienne:
Hoodia XPF Plus by Nutra Core seems to be a very popular hoodia diet pill, but I’m not a big fan of it because there isn’t much hoodia gordonii in it. In each two-capsule serving, there is only 525mg of hoodia gordonii - or roughly 263mg per capsule. Dr. Varallo, who has almost three year’s of clinical experience with Desert Burn Hoodia, says most of his patients need anywhere from 2,250mg to 4,500mg of hoodia per day for it to be effective! You’d need to take 9-17 capsules of Hoodia XPF Plus to reach those doses!
I wouldn’t recommend you take that many capsules of Hoodia XPF because it isn’t a pure hoodia product. By “pure” I mean it isn’t a 100% hoodia gordonii diet pill. Unlike like those brands listed on my best rated hoodia page that contain ONLY hoodia gordonii, Hoodia XPF Plus contains 12 other ingredients in addition to hoodia. I don’t know what side effects you’d experience, if any, consuming the other ingredients in Hoodia XPF at those high doses. Furthermore, if you took that many capsules it would cost you an arm and a leg!
It’s worth mentioning that some of the ingredients in Hoodia XPF Plus are stimulants such as caffeine. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but those who are sensitive to caffeine or don’t want the potential side effects of caffeine (i.e. jitters) should think twice about taking it. For most people caffeine and other similar mild stimulants aren’t a problem, but make sure you know how your body responds to such ingredients before you buy the supplement.
That’s the advantage of buying a hoodia diet pill that contains 100% authentic hoodia gordonii - you don’t have to worry about any side effects. Take Desert Burn Hoodia, for example, each capsule contains a whopping 750mg of authentic hoodia gordonii and nothing else. You can reach those higher doses Dr. Varallo’s patients are taking with as little as three capsules and not have to worry about any side effects. That is why I always recommend “pure” hoodia gordonii diet pills over those multi-ingredient supplements such as Hoodia XPF.
As for your other questions about exercise and water intake - yes, you definitely want to exercise when taking hoodia. Unfortunately, hoodia only addresses one small piece of the weight loss puzzle - your diet (specifically only your appetite). All hoodia has the potential to do is suppress appetite. It does not increase metabolism and it does not burn fat. The only way to increase your metabolism and to burn more fat is to exercise! That is why exercise is so important whether you take hoodia or not.
Hoodia will not only suppress your appetite, but it will suppress your thirst as well. Because of this, it is very important to drink plenty of water when taking hoodia supplements even if you aren’t thirsty. You should drink plenty of water anyway because it acts as a natural appetite suppressant by itself and the body functions more efficiently when it is well hydrated. The standard recommendation is 64 ounces per day at a minimum. I personally consume around 80 ounces per day (roughly 10 glasses of water).
I hope this helps.
