Is Hoodia X57 An Authentic Hoodia Diet Pill?
A friend gave me her bottle of Hoodia X57. I’ve evaluated it according to your instructions, but I’m still worried about the actual content. Can you tell me if Hoodia X57 is “the real deal”? -Daniele
Daniele:
Hoodia X57 is made by CPMC, LLC, also known as Voluptas International, LLC. They are located in Arizona. A lawsuit was filed against them in 2006 by JEC Nutrition, the makers of Hoodia H57. They were sued for trademark infringements. I only point this out because many people get the two companies confused (which explains why the lawsuit was filed).
The Hoodia X57 website says that the product is made with hoodia grown with CITES certificates and is tested by independent labs in the United States to make sure the hoodia gordonii is the “best quality.” That all sounds terrific, but the problem is they provide no proof.
According to their website they claim they “…are not allowed to post CITES certificates on the HoodiaX57 web site because unscrupulous hoodia suppliers will ‘pirate’ the certificates and claim them as their own. This also goes for the independent lab results.” I have to admit I’ve never seen this before and I find it very suspicious.
Why do other companies, such as those listed on my best rated hoodia page, have no problems displaying these documents on their websites? They’ve been displaying these documents on their websites for the past few years without any problems.
If Hoodia X57 is backed with CITES certificates and independent lab test results, they should have no problem displaying them. The fact that they do concerns me. Without these documents as solid proof that Hoodia X57 is authentic, you have no idea what you are getting. It could be authentic but you just don’t know.
The other issue I have with Hoodia X57 is that their prices seem too good to be true. While authentic hoodia has come down in price in recent months, it is still expensive. As an example, Desert Burn and Hoodoba have 750mg capsules and their bottles sell for around $44/bottle if you make a multi-bottle purchase.
Hoodia X57 only has 500mg hoodia gordonii capsules, but you can get them for as low as $10.42/bottle if you buy six bottles. Even if you only buy two bottles they will only cost you $12.50/bottle. Either way, those prices are too good to be true, in my opinion. How could they possibly afford to sell 500mg capsules at such dirt-cheap prices if it’s 100% authentic? Don’t you think if it was possible all the companies on my best rated hoodia page would lower their prices to stay competitive?
There is a reason they don’t because authentic raw hoodia is too expensive to source to sell at such low prices. They wouldn’t stay in business that long if they did. Maybe Hoodia X57 gets their supply at such low prices that they can afford to do it, but I highly doubt it. In my opinion, something doesn’t smell right, if you know what I mean.
Hoodia X57 may be a terrific diet supplement and may help with weight loss, but until I see proof that their product is what they say it is, I cannot recommend it. If anyone reading this has used Hoodia X57 with success, I’d love to hear from you. I have an open mind and I’m willing to change my opinion!
I hope this helps to answer your question!
