Anyone Taken Hoodia Mint? What Did You Think?
Would you recommend it? -Fleur
Fleur:
I have not taken hoodia mint but based on what I know about hoodia, I would not recommend it.
These types of products are gimmicks. Most, if not all, don’t contain authentic hoodia and even if they do, they contain so little of it that it would have no noticeable affect on your appetite (even though their advertising hype would have you believe otherwise).
It can take several hundred milligrams for hoodia to effectively suppress appetite. Some experts say as much as 3,000mg per day! Hoodia mint and other products like it usually contain less than a couple hundred milligrams of hoodia per serving (i.e per stick of gum, piece of mint, etc.). But like I said, it’s questionable products like these contain authentic hoodia in the first place so the amount could be a moot point. The only way to know for sure if these products contain 100% authentic hoodia is to have them tested by an independent lab. Unfortunately, most of these types of products aren’t tested.
If you are serious about taking hoodia, stick with traditional hoodia capsules that will contain anywhere from 400-750mg of hoodia gordonii powder per capsule. These are the only types of products that have been proven to be consistently effective for most people. Don’t waste your money on hoodia mint or other similar gimmicky products (i.e. hoodia patches, hoodia gum, hoodia pops, etc.)
