As many of you know, I’m very reluctant to add new hoodia reviews to this website as I’m extremely picky as to who I recommend. For a long time I was only promoting a few brands but I’m proud to add Hoodia Prime to the lineup. After looking through the following table, I think you’ll see why:

To begin my review of this hoodia diet pill I did a Google search for “Hoodia Prime reviews” and it wasn’t hard to find numerous positive comments and testimonials. Here was one video review of Hoodia Prime I found on YouTube that was quite compelling:

Hoodia Prime is made by a company called Nature’s Biology. They are known for producing very high quality health supplements. None of their supplements, Hoodia Prime included, contain unnecessary fillers or additives. What’s also nice about their products is that they’re made right here in the USA.

Of the hundreds of brands available today, there are only a few that contain more than 400mg of authentic (authentic being the key word) hoodia gordonii per capsule and Hoodia Prime is one of them. It’s not the largest capsule out there but at 600mg per capsule it is one of the more potent appetite suppressants you’ll find.

With this diet supplement containing so much hoodia gordonii per capsule, you won’t have to take as many throughout the day. Experts suggest that most people will need around 3,500mg of hoodia gordonii per day for it to effectively suppress appetite. At those doses, you’ll only need to take 1-2 Hoodia Prime capsules before each meal. With other inferior brands, you would have to take at least double that amount!

Believe it or not, over 80% of all hoodia supplements on the market today are fake or contain so little authentic hoodia gordonii that they don’t do anything to suppress appetite. Unlike other hoodia sellers, they don’t claim that their products will help you lose tons of weight in a matter of days, or increase your energy or anything like that. What’s Not to Like About Desert Burn Hoodia Diet Pills

There are two drawbacks to Desert Burn hoodia. The first is the capsules are gelatin-based. They don’t offer veggie capsules. Some people have allergic reactions to gelatin capsules or object to using animal-based capsules. If this describes you, then this supplement may not be for you. Natural Health Hoodia is a solid company with a good reputation according to the Better Business Bureau. In addition, the hoodia diet pills they have to offer are in fact 100% authentic and pure, but there are two reasons why I no longer recommend them.

First, their product only contains 400mg of hoodia gordonii per capsule. Compare that to Hoodia Prime where each capsule contains 600mg of hoodia gordonii per capsule!

Second, Natural Health Hoodia’s main product offering is their free hoodia trial. While the offer is legitimate, these free hoodia trials are a hassle to deal with and if you read the fine print, they aren’t completely free. They’re cheaper than buying a bottle of hoodia pills at retail but they aren’t free. Furthermore, there is a better alternative to try hoodia besides these free offers. If you are considering Natural Health Hoodia because of their free hoodia offer, that’s great. Just be sure you completely understand what the offer entails because it can be more expensive than you realize.

Last year hoodia pops were introduced to the market as the next great weight loss product and now we have hoodia gum. A recent press release announced that a company known for producing “functional gums” is introducing a new hoodia gum product.

Their hoodia gum is one of their newest products in a line of their functional gums. They also produce breast enhancement gum, anti-aging gum, and virility gum to name a few. That’s no joke either! I had no idea there was gum to enlarge breasts or to increase virility. Are there actually people out there that buy these products?

At any rate, this company is touting their hoodia gum as a “total weight loss package.” When I read that I couldn’t stop laughing. Can you imagine a gum product being a total weight loss package? If that were true you’d never have to diet or exercise. You could just chew gum all day long and the fat would just melt away. How ridiculous!

They are claiming their hoodia gum is all-natural, stimulant free, curbs appetite, and boosts energy. I’m sure it’s natural and stimulant free, but I doubt very much that it curbs appetite and boosts energy. First of all, their hoodia gum only has 120mg of hoodia. Assuming that’s 120mg of authentic hoodia gordonii, that small amount will do nothing to suppress appetite.

Experts say it could take as much as 3 grams (3,000mg) of hoodia gordonii per day or more to effectively suppress appetite. You’d have to chew about 25 pieces of gum per day to get that much hoodia gordonii. Do you think you could chew that much gum? I didn’t think so. A few pieces of this gum will do very little, if anything, to suppress your appetite.

If you run across this product or any hoodia gum product, don’t waste your money! If you want to try hoodia gordonii, then stick with the traditional hoodia capsules that have enough authentic hoodia gordonii to actually suppress appetite such as Desert Burn hoodia or Hoodoba Pure.

The hoodia patch has gained in popularity recently due to its affordable price and convincing claims made by those who sell them. What dieter could resist all those free trials and claims that they’ll “get a slow release of hoodia gordonii throughout the day to suppress appetite?”

It sounds like the perfect weight loss solution – it’s cheap and it works better than any other hoodia product. Not so fast. The first red flag is the price. As I’ve mentioned on this website, authentic hoodia gordonii is scarce and as a result, isn’t cheap. A bottle of hoodia gordonii diet pills will cost around $60 per bottle and will only last a few weeks. Do you think you’re getting authentic hoodia gordonii in hoodia patches that are being offered for free or practically given away?

Another red flag is how the hoodia patch is being marketed. The sellers of hoodia patches will claim that a patch is more effective than diet pills because you’ll get a slow release of hoodia gordonii into the bloodstream throughout the day. The end result is your appetite will be suppressed throughout the day! How great that would be if it were actually true.

The theory behind the hoodia patch is that the hoodia gordonii bypasses the stomach and reaches the bloodstream directly through the skin, resulting in quicker and more effective appetite suppression. The reality is it doesn’t work.

What about nicotine and birth control patches? There is a big difference between the hoodia patch and those products. Nicotine patches once required a prescription and birth control patches can only be obtained through a prescription. Hoodia patches have never required a prescription.

Why is this important? When a product requires a prescription, it has been studied extensively and has passed rigorous governmental regulations to prove that it works as advertised. Otherwise, it wouldn’t require a prescription.

Even if you believe that argument doesn’t prove anything, think about the history of the hoodia plant for a moment. I think once you do, you’ll see that the hoodia patch can’t be as effective as hoodia diet pills. Stick with me on this.

Hoodia gordonii is a cactus-like plant that is found primarily in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa. Is has been used for centuries by the Bushmen to stave off hunger during long hunting trips. They cut off a 2-3 inch piece of the plant and eat it. When a small piece of the hoodia plant is eaten raw, it suppresses appetite for hours.

Since obtaining raw hoodia gordonii isn’t convenient (or cheap), what do you think is the next best thing? Getting it from a capsule that contains the powdered form of it, or from a small patch that sticks to your skin and supposedly contains enough extract of it? I think you’d agree that the capsule is the closest thing to eating the plant raw.

Only a handful of hoodia products contain authentic hoodia gordonii. Hoodoba and Desert Burn hoodia diet pills are two products that come to mind that contain the real deal. My point is that at least with hoodia capsules there are some that actually contain authentic hoodia gordonii and are said to be effective by dieters across the globe.

You can tell I’m not a big fan of the hoodia patch. To be completely frank, I think they’re a total rip off and I hope you avoid them at all costs. It would be great if someday they were proven to be equally effective as a capsule because they’d be so convenient. Until that day comes, however, I encourage you to stick with traditional hoodia diet pills.
